Dr Michael Frendo LLD LLM (Exon) MP, (Dr Frendo is currently on leave, serving as Minister of Foreign Affairs) a lawyer for over 25 years, focusing on European law, Telecommunications law, Aviation law, Financial Services Legislation, and laws relating to investment. He is a graduate in law from the University of Malta (1977) and in European law from the University of Exeter (1978/79). Michael Frendo is a (part-time) lecturer in European law, and in Private International Law at the University of Malta. He has also lectured at the International Maritime Law Institute of the International Maritime Organisation. In the past years he has carried out a number of international consultative (World Bank) assignments in the field of Telecommunications and Information Technology Law.
