Dr. Ian Gauci B.A. LL.D is a Partner and the Head of the IT and Telecommunications Department at Gatt Frendo Tufigno Advocates (GFT). He provides legal, regulatory and strategic advice to new entrants in the gaming industry, content providers, electronic communcations service providers and operators. Ian assists undertakings in wholesale acCess agreements, roaming agreements, interconnection agreements, software agreements and hardware agreemets. He is the regulatory advisor of one of the local mobile operators and also represents them in national and international forums abroad. Ian is also the regulatory advisor of the local fixed incumbent and also acts as an advisor to the Ministry on issues dealing with E Commerce and E trust certification. He is a contributor to a number of trade publications. Ian specialises in IT law, Electonic Commerce, Data Protection, Electronic Communications, IP law, Broadcasting law, Gaming law and Competition law. Prior to joining the firm he has been the regulatory and legal advisor for the Malta Communications Authority and has also co-authored the Maltese Electronic Communications Framework.
